"A few months after releasing "Matchmade Screens" (indierockmag.bandcamp.com/album/matchmade-screens-ep), an EP of cinematographic narratives imagined and recorded with Konejo, IRM Netlabel presents Valgidrà's first proper LP "Warplush Vol 1". There is an organic quality to those electronic compositions made of dreamlike synths and lively drums. The candor of 90s Aphex Twin and the softly disquieting vibes of Boards of Canada, whose heirs usually suffer from modern technologies' tendancy to polish everything too much, and that is why Valgidrà sounds unique in this field today. The beats' dynamics are quite often unusual, drawing influences from IDM as well as drum'n'bass, shoegaze and experimental rock, and the general atmosphere is unsettling and comforting at the same time, providing the feeling of a timeless bubble away from our black and white reality".

James Album" et des rêveries analogiques aussi malaisantes que stratosphériques de Boards of Canada, sans tomber dans le piège des productions électroniques trop léchées d'aujourd'hui. L'influence des rythmiques ne se limite d'ailleurs pas à celle des beats déstructurés du label Warp mais furette volontiers du côté de la drum'n'bass, du shoegaze ou même de Radiohead, une autre influence avouée. Une bulle hors du temps et des modes, à la fois étrange et réconfortante, sombre et envoûtante, qui ne laissera pas indifférents les amateurs d'électronica organique et atypique".
